This week has been busy I had my AP exam yesterday and hopefully I did really good and I am also getting my presentation PowerPoint ready and all the details I also finish like my invitations for the people who are coming which is really excited. This week I also got my prom dress which is really cool and I love it. Can't wait for next week for my presentation so excited.

well this week i been getting all my project together and starting to make some of the decorations for the cakes that i am going to make. i am also thinking of my presentation and what i am going to say and i am thinking on having a hands on activity for all my gueest. i am also thinking and planning on what i am going to say and i am making a powerpoint with pictures and other things.

Well I had class yesterday and did not like the flowers that we learn they were nasty and the royal icing that is needed is really hard and annoying to make irate it. I am definitely not using is flowers in my project. This weekend also was not very good since a lot of things happened with my family.today Monday was a whatever day I was not feeling good and I stayed home all day I also had my final for my bc English class I hope I did good.

Tuesday and Wednesday where such fun days, coach love ask me to make a cake for one of his friends for her birthday so I ask my best friend Daniella if she will help me and she said yes we had so much fun the first day which was Tuesday we did not fealty accomplish anything because we had so difficulties which where really funny but on Wednesday we finish the entire cake and it is amazing I love it. This week I am redoing my outline that I have all ready done because I did not like it. Thisweek is also horable week because it is Passover and we can't eat bread or anything like it so I can't bake anything at my house so I can't advance or bake anything for my project which I really hate.

Well today was a long day I had my mentor meeting, I went to the gym, I had class from like 5:30 to 9:15 but I left early and drove to Aventura for Passover Seder which was very long and tiring the only good thing was that I got to see my cousin that lives in Boston which was really cool. I just got home so I am blogging about my day. Tomorrow os going to be the same thing because we have Passover Seder again. This week is also going to suck because we can't eat anything with bread or have it at home so i am not allowed to bake anything for my project which is s big inconvenient since I really wanted to bake this week.

this weekend was very busy i did my outline for my project to show coach love, i took my college placement test and hopefully i did really good, my grandparents came so i spend some time with them. i hasd class today but i did not make it because everything with my grandparents got delay so i reschedual with my teacher. i also started to make some more decorations that i am going to use on my cakes and presentation i cant wait.

This week I bee doing an outline so i know what I am going to say and present in my final presentation. It's really hard to make one because I am not sure what I want to say and then in some areas I want to say to munch so I am still working on that. I am also starting to think on the cakes and cupcakes I am going to present and I started doing some of the decoration which takes time and needs time to dry. I am also unsure of what flowers I should use for the different cakes and cupcakes so I am still thinking. My mom is leaving this weekend for my sisters competition and maybe I will get to bake something.this weekend is also the weekend that I have to take my college exam I am so nervous I want to do good.

Today was a busy day I did a couple of things. I wake up in the morning and helped my mom do a couple of things, later my family and I went to see are neighbor preform she was Annie in the play. After that we went out to lunch and then I had my cooking class it was really fun I am taking it with I friend. Today we learn about fondant and gum paste and we learn how to make two types of flowers but I only liked one of them. We also learn that this types of flowers dried up and never go bad also they are flowers to only decorate you can't eat them.the class was really interesting. I am also working I little in my final presentation but it gets harder every time I start working on it I don't know where to start. Well hopefully it gets easier with time.

Well this couple of weeks I am getting my project together mostly trying because its harder than I though. I don't know what to include in my presentation and how to make it shorter so its not to long. I am also making invitations to invite everyone that wants to come. Also this week was really hard. Because I had tons of things to do like study for a college test that I have to take, helping my mom, finishing a couple essays for my english class and other things. I have also started thinking and researching. What kind of cakes and cupcakes I want to make for my presentation and everything. I hope everything goes really well with my presentation and that it gets easier to plan it.

long week

this week was very busy i had to study for my mid terms. i also bakes a lot this week which was really excited i am going to post pictures. i have also tough about my final presentation project and what i want to do for it and what do i want to present and everything i cant wait i hope everything goes as plan. this week my grandma from Venezuela also came and i am so excited about that, she is staying for a month and she spoils me so much i love when she is here. this weekend was horrible i went to the beach with my friends and i ended up falling asleep and i got a horrible sun burn and it hurts so much, the worst part about it its that i got burn in the front of my body but in the back i am completely white which sucks. i also started to study for a test that i have to take in a couple of weeks for the college i want to go and i really want to do good. also this past week my dad was not here which makes everything harder since i have to help my mom even more in picking my sisters up, cooking, going to publix which are all the things i hate. well i hope next week is better and less stress i am so excited their is no class tomorrow so i can finish catching up in everything i have to do.

well i am just been trying to finish my video because i had some trouble with it. the idea i had in my head does not work so i am disappointed i hope that it still comes out good. i have not really baked anything this weekend but i have amazing recipes that i hope to bake next week and to try them. next week i think they are giving in one the the baking channel a new episode of cupcake war i am so excited they have amazing recipes and there cupcakes look amazing. well i just hope my project ends up good so i am just going to finish working on it.

well this week i got 2 really cool books with tons of recipes and ideas to decorate cupcakes and lollipop cakes which are so cute i ahve great ideas to try for my project and my presentation. i also found the pictures of the apples that i saw being decorated when i whent to orlando spo i am going to upload that picture. my video is going pretty well i just havent picked a song which i found out is reallyu hard to do. i am going to flim my last part of my project this weekend so i can finish putting it together. today was also my freinds birthday so it was really fun i we all got together in his house and we sang happy birthday and aet cake it was really fun. i am also going to upload the picturees of the mickey mouse muni cakes that i baked last week they are so cool.

orlando

so i left to Orlando on Friday i was not very happy but i had no choose i had to go and see my little sister compete. i hang out most of the time with my dad and my other sister we spend 4 days hoping from each of the Disney parks. it was really fun and we discover new things that we never had done before because by the second day we did not want to make lines or ride the rides again. we also walk in this market i don't remember the name but it was really cool because they show you how to dip the apples and decorate them so that kind off was part of my project. i got really cool ideas. we also went into this like baking and cooking store which was awesome and there was like everything to make cakes out of your favorite characters and how to decorate them so my mom surprise me by buying me one of them which was really cool. one of the nights we also walked in downtown Disney and had dinner. on the last day i could not wait to come home i was just tired of doing the same thing every day.

Well I finally decided how I wanted to set up everything for my presentation, I think Its going to come out amazing I am so excited. I am still watching videos to get ideas of things and to decide what I want my project to focus. I also did not know who to interview for my homework so I interviewed my sister because she wants to study culinary and she takes the cake decorating class with my and she is really good at it. This weekend was not so good either I got really sick and could not do anything so I hope to get better soon o hate being sick. Well i am still baking and decorTing different things and having fun. My midterm project is going to come out awesome I am so excited.

Well likely I have been working on my midterm video I still don't know what I want to do but I have a lot of ideas and I am working on it. I am learning to use imovie on a mac its easy once you know what you are doing. I am so excited I can't wait to finish it. Also I am getting ideas on what to specify thing of cake decorating should I do my presentation because I like mini cakes, cupcakes, and normal cakes so I am still trying to decide. My drawing on how I want to set up is coming a long I hope to finish it by tomorrow

presentaion

well coach love my mentor gave me an assigment this week whic i have been thinking a lot about since i dont really know what i want to do with my final project presentation. i been thinking and i want to do something really cool where everyone can do sometjing hands on so i am thinking of what can i do. i also been thinking of the set up and how os oty going to be. i think i am going to do it in my house so i can have access to the oven and other things. coach love also ask my to draw it out so i have been doing that but i keep chamging it since i dont really know what i really want to do. also yesterday i baked a red velvet cake and decorated it it came out really pretty and it tasted really good too my family really enjoy it. i have been really busy this couple of days too because i am playing a couple of events for different clubs that i am involved in and i have also have class, i cant wait BC has spring break next week is going to be awesome because i am going to have so much time to do everything i have to do.

Trying something new

Well yesterday I tried to make this little heart shaped brownies that I saw on tv but they did not come out exactly how I wanted them or I saw on tv which got me a little upset but at the end I eat them with my family and they did taste really good. I did some more research and I also learn how to shape a round cake into a butterfly shaped it is really cool and I will never have tough of that idea. Well I also want to start my cake decorating classes again so I am looking for a food time to take them. Well I hope next week I do something better and get my schedule on track.

well i been having problems this couple of days trying to log in to my account but now that is fix. i been doing some research on different clases of cake decorating to see what else i can learn. i also wanted to see if i can go to a place where they make cakes for parties to see how the business works and how they make everything. i also wanted to try something new this weekend like make really cool cupcakes or the llolipop cakes that i been learning how to make in my research. this weekend is going to be compllicated seens my mom is leaving with my sister for competicion so i have to help my dad with everything specially with my other sister. i hope to get more done this week.

not much

well today was not a very productive day i hang out with my friends and did homework. i did very little research on my project, i just looked over one of the books that i have at home to reread something that i did not remember. i also got a little more organized for next week. i hope next week i do more with my wise project. i also finish the first cake decorating lesson and i am so ready to take level 2 i cant wait i am going to learn how to use royal icing. i hope to be able to write more next week about my experience with my wise project.

yesterday

Well yesterday friday was a very long day but it was good I had class and I made a really cool cake. I learn how to make roses so I made 12 roses to put around my cake which they came out very pretty. The roses where really hard to make at first but once I kept practicing they started to come out really good. In my cake I also put this kind of like dot pattern which I think made the cake look better and I also made a rosset border at the bottom which came out amazing. I am so proud of my self for being able to to make a cake that good.

last couple of days

well this past couple of days i have been searching for better ways to decorate cupcakes because i feel that they should be decorated like cakes and come out amazing. so i went onto various websites and did not really found directions to how to decorate does cupcakes but i did found videos on YouTube which are awesome because they shoe you step by step how to decorate them and they come out so pretty i cant wait to try to make them. i also today made a cake for my cake decorating class tomorrow i cant wait we are going to decorate it and i have to bring it fill with chocolate pudding and frosted. i am so excited.

wednesday- sunday

Wednesday through Sunday was a hard week but i also accomplished many things. to start a could not blog any other day until today because blogger did not let me in into my account so it took a while to fix which i was not really happy about. but well now that this is fixed i will tell you what i accomplish this week. so Wednesday i did some research and read one of the books that i have home to find a valentines cake decoration ideas because i made valentines mini cakes for my friends. so my cooking started on Thursday in the morning which i baked 12 cupcakes, a cake, and 6 mini heart shape cakes. it was alot of work but fun at the same time. it was pretty easy i just had to make the batter and put it to cook the harder part about this day was trying to get all the cakes out of their pan without missing any part of them which after a while and patients i was able to get all of them out of their pan and into a board so they can cool.on Thursday i also had a lot of homework and i also went to the Enrique inglesia concert which was amazing, so i can home really late which made it harder for me to wake up early on Friday so i did not really got an early start.on Friday afternoon my sister and i made different color icings for are class on Sunday so we could decorate are cupcake, we also made filling. making the icing was fun but it was messy, we made different color like light blue,dark blue, yellow, green, pink, purple and a couple others. on Saturday i startes decorating my heart shape mini cakes and trying different things on how i wanted to decorate them, so i decided that i wanted to use fondant. i have never used fondant before so i was reading online and on one of the book i have at home what is the best way to use it. using the fondad at first was really hard but as a practice it became easier and my cakes ended up being really cute. this same day i went to see my grandma so i had no time to finish decorating my cakes so i saved them so i could finish them on Sunday. on Sunday morning i had my class and we decorated cupcakes it was fun at the beginning but i did not really like it that much i like decorating cakes better. my cup cakes did not really end up as i wanted them to look so i am guessing that was a mayor factor on why i did not like decorating the cup cakes that much. today i also finish decorating my valentines cakes and they are really cute, i love them i cant wait to give them to my friends.

research

well this week i hope is better than last week but i guess i just have to wait and see. so today was a pretty god day i took a test that i though i fail but i did not, i did one of my favorite things which is painting, i am painting with one of my friends a rain barrel for art club and we are having a lot of fun doing. finally when i got home i did something that i enjoy as much as painting as that was research for my cake decorating project which i love. today i look for ideas and some recipes because i wanted to see what was so different about the ingredients in different vanilla or other flavored cakes. i found a couple of good websites like country kitchen sweetart and in this website their is a lot of awesome ideas and it also contains really good instructions. it has instructions on everything like decorating cookies. cakes, cup cakes and it also has different ideas for different occasions. pink cake box was another good website i found. the cakes you can find in this website are really unique and i hope i could make cakes like this someday.to find great recipes for different things and flavors i found the joy of baking website which is really good too and i really enjoy reading the recipes.

the cake i decorated

baking and decorating a cake

well today was a rushed and tiring day, i woke up very early because i had cake decorating class but before going i had to make a cake and other things that i needed to take so i had to make the batter to make a cake then i had to put the cake in the oven for like an hour, meanwhile i was making the frosting and the filling for the cake which each took a good 30 minutes, so then when the cake was done and ready i had to let it cool down for like an hour which i had no patients for. then i packed everything to take to class and grabbed my cake and left. the class was really fun i learn how to cut a cake in half and put the pudding filling in it and it seems really easy but when you have to do it its really hard. then i learn how to put the frosting to cover the cake and you have to have a lot of patients to do that because if you do not do it the right way you will mess up the frosting with the cake crums and it becomes really hard to fix later. after i put on the frosting i had to boil water and then with the hot water i had to smooth the frosting so the cake looks descend. finally i learn how to draw on top of a cake and i drew a cup cake which i though it was going to be easy for the first time doing it, it turns out that the first part is easy because you just have to draw it and then but this gel thing on top but after when you have to put it on top of the cake so it will mark it sometimes it gets stuck and the frosting that is under it gets ruined and it does not look so pretty so i had to be extremely careful. and then from their is really easy because i just got to decorate the cake however i wanted to i did like ball circle things like around the bottom and top of the border of my cake which turn really good for being the first time. after all that fun in the morning i had to come home and do my homework which i had a lot. when dinner time came i was excited because after dinner we cut the cake and tasted it which  i was surprised but it tasted really good.

cooking day

today was i very fun and entertaining day. i woke up and bake sugar cookies and i made them with heart and flower shapes, i have never been able to make cookies with shapes so i was really excited i even watch them bake because i could not believe it. i also got to make my own frosting which was awesome but i did not think it was going to be so hard like it was and it required a lot of steps but in the end it ended up being really good. later i decided that i wanted the frosting in different colors so i spilt the frosting into four parts and dye each part a different color which included red, yellow, pink, and purple. i also did not know that if you touch the food coloring with your hands it ends up dying your hands and its so hard to take off so i have pink and purple hands for a while until i decides to ware off. after having this amazing morning i had to go to school for third hour and then i had to stay to finish painting something for art club and then i had a HOSA meeting and while i was doing all that i wanted to get back home to decorate my cookies, so when i got back home i had a lot of fun decorating my cookies with different colors and i was so proud of my self for being able to do this all by my self. it was an awesome experience and i cant wait to decorate a cake this weekend i hope is as fun as decorating cookies.

working on it

this week is not going so well my dad left on a business trip and then my little sister got sick. i had a lot of plans to work on my project but i had to help my mom around the house and help with my sisters. i was planing today to decorate cookies but i could not because i did not have time but i did go to Publix and bought the ingredients so i could make the cookies tomorrow because i have great ideas and i also bought everything for the cake i am going to decorate on Friday at my class which i am really excited.
this weekend i also want to do more research in different things and ways i can decorate i cake.
i also want to learn how to make frosting and fondant from scratch and then be able to color it with food coloring and be able to decorate cakes with it. i will also like to look for templates or make my own because i need them to make the different designs on cakes. i hope that the rest of this week will get better and that next week i can put more time into my project. the last thing that i am going to talk about today that i am really excited is that i am practicing decorating cookies everyday so i am getting better.

research

today was a very productive day i got up did my homework and then i went to barns and noble. when i got to barns and noble i went to the cooking section where i found many books for the decorating cakes, it was amazing i have never seen so many different books for one single subject. i started to look for the ones that where interesting to me and then i read some of them, i probably read like ten books and i got so many ideas. going to barns and noble got me so excited about my project. i ended buying like three and i took notes from the other ones. when i got home i decided to practice some of the techniques that one of the books shows to decorate basics cakes. i had a lot of fun today.

First class

Today started very boring and normal but it got better as the day went on. I got to go to my first cake decorating class it was really fun and exciting, I also got to share that moment with my little sister which was really fun and I enjoyed it very much since I don't hang out with her often. Well in class I learn how to decorate cookies with frosting and also how to use all the different tools it was so much fun and I learn so much I can't wait to go back next week.

Today was a really good day I decided what I was going to do for my wise project which is cake decorating. I also research different ways to decorate cakes and found really cool ideas I can't wait to try them. I also got the idea to go to barns and nobles to look at some cake decorating books I can't wait to go and read different books, I was thinking on going during the weekend when I have more time. I also decided that because I have never decorated a cake I will like to learn from someone who really knows so I am looking into classes or maybe find an internship and see what a cake decorator does every day and maybe learn something. Today was a very productive day I got so much down I am so excited to start my wise project I know I am going to have so much fun.
